A BIG U-TURN from FONG PO KUAN

FONG announces that she will continue to contest parliament seat in BATU GAJAH for the 3rd consecutive term in a press conference that she called in today afternoon.

I believe both LIM KIT SIANG and LIM GUAN ENG are the key persons in her U-TURN to the coming election.

在野和在朝,一样都是在做戏。如果同样的事件发生在执政党,这个课题肯定会被咬着不放。投抑不投或是投给谁,差别其实不是那么大。

I do not agree with your point.
There is one Gerakan state assemblymen jump to Parti Keadilan Rakyat and contest under PKR this term, but the outburst is not widely reported in mainstream newspaper. BN-controlled media only reporting good news about BN but bad news about opposition.
Do not give up by not voting or vote suka-hati. If you have been reading my blog all this while you will realise that this nation is definitely sick and we as a voter must do something to end it. Let's vote to dismantle UMNO political hegemony and deny BN two-thirds majority.

If opposition parties ruled, are they any better? For me, they also keep talking nonsense but no action. Both are sucks. If you can only choose between PAS or BN , what is your choice?

When opposition has no power and resource what do you expect them to do? The actual duty/responsibility of opposition is to provide check and balance. You cannot expect them to do those things which only can be done with resources right?
This is not a matter of voting which opposition, but to deny 2/3 majority of BN instead. You think PAS is a bad guy? Why you tink so? Because you read from newspaper? Ask those chinese who comes from Kelantan. You will have different opinions. State of government of Kelantan even give you land to build temple. They give allowance to all students whoever get enrolled into local univeristy regardless of races. If you don't believe, ask around and see.

I just have KT friends (i think you know them as well) stayed at house few days ago... they told me... they will definitely vote for BN because of the development did by BN over last term. :-)

One thing, i am not standing by either side, i never ever mention i will choose BN over PAS. In fact, i choose people rather than party. For me, all parties are the same. and it is always easier to talk than actions. As i mentioned earlier, "If opposition parties ruled, are they any better?", not that BN is better... all are the same! 大家都是站在什么立场就说什么话,做什么事。

Ha.. if I am politician, i prefer to be at the opposition side, because i just need to talk... and expect people to do accordingly... :-)

Will opposition do better than BN if they rule? i cant answer that. But what i know is if our country continues to progress like what it is now...all of the ppl regardless of Malay, chinese, indian all will be suffering. Generally Malaysia economy growth is sustained by oil export. As we all know, Malaysia has plenty of oil. Most of our government money is coming from petronas. But we are going to be net importer in year 2010. By then, where the money comes? FDI is reducing(read my latest post), factories are moving out, but corruption never goes down. Our finance minister said our inflation rate last year was only 3%. Do you believe that? NEP is seems to continue without ending but malays in rural areas still very poor. Where had our money gone? Look at Zakaria's palace in Klang. Look at the 4.6 billions scandal in port klang free zone. Look at the KING of AP's KING. Look at proton. Look at our parliament ceiling. Look at the contract signed by government to toll company. Look at MAS. Apart of money, how about public security? Are we safe? Is our children safe? How about our police force efficiency? How about our judiciary system? Look at lingam case. Look at athantuya case. Talking about chinese society issues, why our parents suffering so much just to get our children to study? Why 5A cannot enter medic in local U? Why chinese keep watching hishammudin show keris every year while MCA done nothing? More and more and more....
Enough is enough. I rather give a chance to opposition. Because i know they cant do worst than what BN is doing. Do not think that candidate is important than party. Ask youself can individual against a system? No matter how good that person is, as long as he is within the system he also cant do much. If your main concern is to make sure everyday there will be somebody to collect your garbage, traffic light working well, road condition improved, then maybe you are right to vote BN. Meanwhile, you are sacrificing the future interest. Agree with me?
